Ozebia embodies a parallel universe in which scenes of a dreamlike nature unfold. Sometimes, there are glimpses of eerie landscapes; other times, the subjects of this fantastic realm are revealed through shadows and compelling plays of light. As a result, most of the works in this series are imbued with a certain darkness to encourage this plunge into alternate world. The enveloping blackness is more reassuring than frightening and adds a timeless feel to the works. Ozébia reflects in some way a mythical journey through the expression of images that flash through our minds without our being wholly conscious of them.

Time no longer exists, space is undefined, and the viewer is confronted with a reality external to his own that triggers a reflection about his own unconscious, about his dreams (or his nightmares), and about his aspirations.
