YOGA, regardless of style, form, intensity or instructor, is first and foremost about wellness. It’s about focusing on the present moment, it’s about introspection, and it’s about engaging the mind as well as the body. Our magnificent Serenity studio is the perfect place for a relaxing and rejuvenating break. The muscles of the entire body are stimulated by both strength and flexibility, following the rhythm of guided breathing. Whether you’re 7 or 97, there’s a form of YOGA for you.
Hatha is the traditional yoga par excellence. The development of Hatha yoga is the result of extensive research into the body, energies and breathing. By combining these 3 characteristics, the principles of Hatha yoga were born.
Yoga Flow is for those who want a more rhythmic and energetic form of yoga. Combined with breathing techniques, this class uses a rapid succession of sequences designed to improve balance, flexibility and strength.
Katonah’s language uses metaphor, analogy and imagination to weave together a uniquely expressive and embodied experience. This physical yoga offers a practice blended with powerful breathing leading to meditative states that leave participants feeling stable, capable and joyful.
This style of Yoga is more dynamic, more intense and a little more cardio-powered than more classic styles. Inspired by Yoga Ashtanga, it features more forceful movements, a faster rhythm for the sequences and poses that are harder to hold. A more intermediate style of Yoga, this class is characterized by the integration of more challenging postures in terms of strength and control.
